Sardine factory and early steamboat wharf, winter time and Stonington harbor is frozen solid! Very early 20th century.
you can see the "Hotel Isleford". Not sure of era but early 20's is pretty good guess.

swh Here is a photo that I found with several others that I had kind of forgotten about. I think this is a picture of early sardine carriers and I think it is in Southwest Harbor. I could be wrong, what do you Island folks think? Gray Cove Deer Isle looking across Eggemoggin to Upper Torrey and Lower Torrey Islands with Brooklin in background.
